Early 17th Century Map of Rainow

Clicking on this thumbnail will open a 2MB image file of Rainow and part of Sutton. On the map
are 50 houses and the name of (I assume) the householder. NOTE that north is on the left of the
   map.

Clicking on this thumbnail will open the same map but with a reference grid superimposed and
    inclosure boundaries emphasised.

The map is said to be from the National Archives and of the 17th century. I found it browsing on Ancestry attached to a family tree with no source information except 'Cheshire 17th century'! I do not believe it to be the map referenced below #a since it doesn't match the description and the survey which accompanied the map lists many more individuals, many outside Rainow or Sutton.

1611 Survey of Macclesfield Manor and Forest ...."all those freeholders, copyholders and tenants living in the area at the time of the Survey, which was commissioned by Prince Henry, the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and Earl of Chester, and made by 23 persons of standing in the local community." Indices at www.tiger2.f2s.com/1611MacclesfieldSurvey and order form to obtain transcripts.

Jane Laughton uses the map as the cover and centrepiece to her booklet 'Seventeenth Century Rainow: the Story of a Cheshire Hill Village' (1990) and identifies it as "1611 map held by the PRO (MR 354)". The index entry for National Archives MR1/354 is given in reference #b below. Note that the index only commits itself to 'early 17th century'.

The following individuals are named on the map. The left-hand column is the grid square in which the individual will be found. Transcriptions are my best attempt and I welcome corrections.
